Route: fade
Plays containing the fade Route
Route Description:
The Fade route is similar to the Streak route in the sense that it is a deep pattern up the sideline, however, it has one crucial difference. The release off the line of scrimmage has to be to the outside of the defender, because the QB will usually throw the fade ball up higher to the sideline in hopes that the WR is in good position to go jump up and catch it.
