Route: seam
Plays containing the seam Route
Route Description:
The Seam route differs from a fade or streak route because it is always run by the inside receiver who angles the trajectory slightly to the inside of the field. By shading the route to the inside, it creates an opportunity for a pass to be made inside of the downfield safeties. This does not need to be a deep throw, however, the Quarterback merely needs to wait for the WR to clear the depth of the linebackers underneath.
